Kingfisher Insurance announces new Managing Director Gareth Butler
We are delighted to announce the promotion and appointment of Gareth Butler as Kingfisher’s new Managing Director.
Gareth previously held the role of Head of Corporate Risks, where he was responsible for developing the commercial insurance proposition. In his new role as Managing Director, Gareth will lead Kingfisher in identifying new opportunities, partnerships, and sectors, ensuring the delivery of market-leading solutions to new and existing clients, and enhancing the customer experience.
The appointment demonstrates our commitment to delivering on our ambitious growth plans and strategy to be the UK’s leading specialist insurance broker – one focused on meeting the needs of our customers by providing a traditional broking service with personalised products that meet our customers’ evolving needs.
Gareth has over thirty-five years of experience in the insurance broking industry in a range of senior roles at global insurance companies, including Head of Affinity and Partnership Propositions at PIB, and Chief Broking Officer at Aon, where he delivered vast improvements in the identification, development and distribution of both commercial and personal lines products.
He has also previously run his own consultancy firm, focusing on supporting insurers to leverage existing schemes and facilities, as well as on developing sustainable, profitable partnerships that benefit customers, business outcomes, and insurer and capacity partners.
Gareth Butler, Managing Director at Kingfisher Insurance, commented:
“After developing the commercial insurance proposition at Kingfisher, I’m delighted to have taken up the Managing Director role. It’s such an exciting time for the organisation, and I look forward to leading the business to be the broker of choice for specialist and niche personal commercial products whilst keeping client outcomes at the heart of our offering.”
Jacquie Boast, CEO of B3 Insurance, added:
“Gareth has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and his promotion and appointment will ensure that Kingfisher continues to build on its success to date. It further reflects our commitment to investing in leadership and maintaining our position as a leading, customer-focused specialist insurance broker.”
