Champagne Scenic Rally Tour
This weekend, our CEO Jacquie Boast and her friend Nikki Daniels took part in The Champagne Scenic Rally Tour.
The Champagne region is well known for its prestigious champagne houses, and the route began 75 miles east of Paris stretching along the Marne Valley to the cities of Epernay and Reims and south towards Sexanne and Côte des Bar.
As a classic rallying event, there were 200 miles of regularity sections over two days and features 6 classes of vehicles:
- Vintage – built before 31 December 1945
- Historic – built between 1 January 1946 to 31 December 1967
- Post Historic – built between 1 January 1968 to 31 December 1974
- Classic – built between 1 January 1975 to 31 December 1990
- Young Timer – built between 1 January 1991 and 31 December 2005
- Modern – built on or after 1 January 2006
The classes ensured a wide range of vehicles taking part – everything from a 1935 Lagonda M45 to 2024 Porsche 911. Jacquie and Nikki were competing in a 2000 Fiat Barchetta – pictured below.

We are delighted to announce they came 2nd in their class (Young Timer).
“We had an amazing weekend! Great routes, amazing marshals that made the event go seamlessly and fantastic organisation by the Scenic Team. It was such a surprise to win an award but the fancy dress probably helped! We can’t wait for the Pommeau Rally in September.”

The event is ran by Peter James Insurance’s partner Scenic Rally Tours, a specialist vehicle rally event company and part of Scenic Car Tours who operate a wide range of classic group and classic club tours both in the UK and internationally. In fact – they even work with some of Peter James Insurance’s club partners including the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club, the Morgan Sports Car Club and the MX-5 Owners Club!
Taking place the same weekend as Drive it Day 2026, it’s been fantastic to see so many classic vehicles and classic events taking place! Find out more about Scenic Car Tours and Drive it Day below.
